STEVERINO

Steverino is the first project I pursued with the intent of getting published, and I was dead set for many years on becoming a syndicated newspaper cartoonist. I would print 25 page issues of Steverino every month and send them to my friends as part of the "Steverino fan club." The comic strip had fans at each syndicate and even won a national award in '99 but I think there just wasn't enough hook- there was no good angle to market it. It was just me and my thoughts. And that's a tough sell to the notoriously difficult-to-break-into newspaper industry. Here is the latest incarnation of Steverino, done in 2006. Buy Steverino!: The Collection, Book I.
