9/17/06Worked on el Steverino all weekend, got a bunch of good Steverino's coming up! Thanks to everyone who's stopped in and wrote in the shoutbox! Don't forget, this updates every M/W/F so keep checking in! Bookmarking makes you a better person. Anyway, the real point of this post is to try out the news updating system, and to say that I hate those shirts that when yoy buy them they have all those pins hidden in them! I always worry I'll miss one and poke myself. It'll hurt. I know that much. Oh, also, the site seems to like the refresh button for some reason. I have to hit it to get new stuff to come up. Keep that in mind! Okay bye. 9/13/06Here it is, the new Steverino site! For those that may have just stumbled upon this site, click around for more info, but short version is: I am Steve Emond, creator of "Emo Boy", published by Slave Labor Graphics. Well before Emo Boy, I did a comic strip called "Steverino". I drew this comic strip for several years, giving it away on a monthly basis to my friends who made up the characters in the comic. It appeared in several newspapers on the shoreline of CT, and won grand prize in a national contest sponsored by Andrews McMeel/Follett College Stores. I made several contacts at syndicates and had some interest, but growing tired of getting no syndication deals, I played with other concepts, and eventually found a publisher for my "Emo Boy" comic book. Of course, having drawn and written "Steverino" for so long, I have an attachment to these characters, and think about them often. It's a big part of me, and a pretty good outlet- I can put down my thoughts and ideas and have them out there as soon as I'd like! And of course, more feedback!
